Artist use many allusions in their artwork to make things more ineresting. This is my lidded project that I made on the wheel and then added three feet to the base. This pot is glazes with shadow green over the whole surface and interior of this project. Aound the edge of the lid and around where the feet are connected there are little x's. These x's have no meaning but they are there for surface design. The indent in the belly of the pot really makes the the upper half of the pot a lot larger.

I think i am going to use theis project for my hand and wheel project. This is sort of a collender, feet would have worked better for this sort of thing. This will go in the kiln on monday.

This is my lidded project that I finished on the wheel on friday. It is still wet so I will have to wait to put it in the kiln. I am thinking that I will add some surface design, and start heading for my theme.

This is a lidded choice project. It has already been in the kiln and is ready to glaze. I found this type of lid in the big book with all the "how to's" for ceramics. I made the lid unside down and footed the top to make the little handle.

This is an exra credit project that is in the making. It is just a lidded project with 3 legs. You can't see it in the picture but there are little "x"s all around the lid and by the legs.

This is my exra credit project that I made on the wheel. It is 3 inches tall and 4 inches wide. It is glazed with shadow green and was made to drip down the sides at the bottom. This simple form goes really well with the complex glaze, accenting the projest

These are my two plates that i made on the wheel. The bigger, green plate is 6 and 1/4 inches wide and a 1/2 inch tall. It was glazed with terquise glaze. The smaller of the two plates is 5 and 1/4 inches wide and just a hair under one inch tall. This plate is glazed with the bahama beach glaze. Both os these plaes have a very similar form and glazed with only one color. They have simple shapes and simple glazes.

This is my wheel altered project that I made on the wheel. It's about 3 3/4 inches tall and about 4 inches wide including the handle. The handle is made to keep your hand warm while you drink what is in the mug. I glazed the mug with bahama breach and purple as the accent color. Inside the handle where the glazes meet make a really pretty blue. There is a thin line of blue under the purple glaze where the two glazes meet as well on the outside. The two glazes meeting could have made a bigger line and would have made for a more complex piece of art.
